Building a Community Plan

Climate change is the defining issue of our time and we all have a critical role to play in getting us to a thriving low-carbon economy and mitigating the worst impacts of the climate crisis. As more and more people are seeing the impacts of climate change on their daily lives, local businesses and the region, they want to take action to be part of the solution - but don't always know where to start. 

 

Climate Action SJ is a regional citizen-led group focused on bringing together, supporting, educating, and celebrating work being done around the region to take action on climate change and push the needle forward in the Greater Saint John area. 

 

Climate Action SJ is focused on the intersectional issues, both social and policy, that affect the citizens of this city. We understand that solutions are multifaceted, and diverse, and need to include the various views, opinions and issues that matter to us all, which is why we are reaching out to you today. We are hoping to gain your support and wanted to personally invite your organization to be included in this conversation. The voice you represent matters. 

 

As a group, our first action will be to co-create a community plan with others working on climate change, social justice and improving our community. We want to invite your organization to be involved in this process and to showcase the work you are doing in our community. The other objective is to build a coalition of like-minded groups that can apply pressure on creating equitable decisions for all members of the Greater Saint John Community.
